Privacy Policy and Personal Data Processing

Last Updated: August 14, 2026

By using the Market Ninja extension and logging in via Yandex or by email, you automatically accept the terms of this Policy and give your Consent to the processing of personal data (more details in Section 1).

This Policy applies to both the Market Ninja browser extension and the marketninja.ru website, including the cookies used on the website (see Section 6).

Summary (TL;DR)

  • For the account: When you log in via Yandex, we receive your email and basic profile information (name, avatar); when you log in by email, we receive only your email address. This is used to create an account and synchronize your subscription;
  • Crowdsourcing and marketplace data: Public product and pricing data collected by the extension is sent to our servers to build a shared database (crowdsourcing). This data is anonymized for external users — no one can tell that you specifically parsed a given product;
  • No tracking: We do not collect your browsing history, passwords from marketplace accounts, or search queries;
  • Analytics: We use anonymized analytics to improve the extension's performance;
  • No data selling: We never sell collected information to anyone.

Terms

  • Policy — this document.
  • Operator — the entity that determines the purposes and manner of processing personal data (details are specified in Section 8 of this Policy).
  • Extension — the Market Ninja browser extension.
  • Site — the website located at marketninja.ru.
  • Service — the Extension and the Site collectively.
  • User — an individual using the Extension and/or the Site; the data subject.
  • Personal Data — any information relating directly or indirectly to an identified or identifiable User.

By clicking the "Sign in with Yandex" button, or by entering their email address to sign in (to receive a one-time password/code or a magic link) in the extension interface, the User freely and explicitly consents to the Operator (details specified in Section 8 of this Policy) processing their personal data.

Processing purposes:

  • Creating an account and providing access to Market Ninja functionality;
  • User identification and access level management (Free/Premium);
  • Sending informational and service messages, as well as news about extension updates via email.

The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ "On Personal Data" dated July 27, 2006.

This consent is valid from the moment of acceptance until the User stops using the Service (deletes their account) or until the consent is withdrawn, whichever occurs first.

2. What data do we collect and why?

We collect a limited amount of data to ensure the service operation and its improvement:

a) Account Data (Personal Data)

When authorizing via Yandex, our database securely stores:

  • Your email address;
  • First and last name (specified in the profile);
  • Profile picture URL (avatar).

When authorizing by email (using a one-time password/code or a magic link), we store only:

  • Your email address.

b) Parsing Data (Crowdsourcing)

When you use the extension, the public data it collects from marketplace websites (prices, specifications, stock levels, reviews, public seller data) is sent to Market Ninja's servers.

  • Why this is needed: We use this data to build a single aggregated database made available to other users of the service (including via the API).
  • Link to your account: On our end, submitted data is linked to your internal identifier. This is solely to protect against bots and to build an internal "trust score" for incoming data. In the external API, your identity or email is never associated with the parsed products.

c) Data for extension operation (Stored locally)

  • Cached settings: Local interface parameters of the extension.

d) Anonymous data for analytics

To monitor stability and feature popularity, we use Yandex Metrika. The following is transmitted there:

  • Visited page URL (page_location): To check parser activation on supported sites.
  • Anonymous events: "Parsing started", "File export", "Authorization error".
  • Technical information: Extension version, browser interface language, operating system type.

3. What data do we strictly NOT collect?

  • Passwords, logins, and cookies from your seller or buyer personal accounts on Wildberries, Ozon, Lamoda, and other sites.
  • Browsing history not related to the extension's operation.
  • Data you enter into forms on websites.
  • Bank card payment data (all transactions are securely processed via the YooKassa payment gateway).

4. How do we protect and share data?

Your profile data (email, name) is stored in a secure cloud infrastructure with modern encryption standards. The primary collection, systematization, accumulation, and storage of the personal data of users who are citizens of the Russian Federation is carried out using databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation.

We do not transfer data to third parties, except for our technical partners (cloud database providers, transactional email services, payment systems), solely within the framework of ensuring service operability and maintaining confidentiality.

5. Your rights and data deletion

You have the full right to manage your data:

  • Uninstalling the extension: Will result in the deletion of all local data from your browser.
  • Account deletion: You can request the full deletion of your account and all related information from our servers at any time by writing to our contact email. Data will be deleted within the time limits established by the legislation of the Russian Federation, but no later than 30 days from the date of withdrawal of consent.
  • Data correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Appeal: If you believe we are processing your personal data in violation of the law, you have the right to appeal our actions (or inaction) to the authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects (Roskomnadzor) or to court.

6. Web Analytics and Cookies on the Site

Please note: this section applies exclusively to the marketninja.ru website. The browser extension itself does not use cookies.

The Site uses the web analytics services Yandex Metrica (Yandex LLC) and Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymized statistics on site traffic and feature usage. This processing is carried out for statistical purposes with mandatory anonymization of data (Clause 9, Part 1, Article 6 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ dated July 27, 2006) and begins from your first visit to the Site, without waiting for separate consent.

The banner you see on your first visit relates to the advertising categories of cookies (Google Consent Mode v2 — ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization), which are technically requested by the Google service even though we do not currently have any advertising tools connected. Until you give consent, these categories remain disabled.

What data is collected

The following is transmitted to the analytics systems: an anonymized cookie identifier, browser and operating system type, URLs of visited pages, referral source, and the date and time of visits. IP address is used by the analytics services transiently to determine region, in accordance with the standard settings of Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics, and is not stored by us in its original form.

Data transfer to Google LLC is carried out in compliance with the legal requirements on cross-border data transfer (Article 12 of Federal Law No. 152-FZ); the corresponding notification has been submitted to the authorized body for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects.

Your choice regarding the advertising categories of cookies is stored in your browser for 180 days. After this period expires, or if you clear your browser's cookies, we will ask for your consent again.

You can change your decision regarding the advertising categories of cookies at any time. To do so, simply delete the cookies for the marketninja.ru website in your browser settings (Google Chrome, Yandex Browser, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and others). On your next visit to the Site, the advertising categories will remain disabled until you give new explicit consent. Anonymized statistical analytics (Yandex Metrica, Google Analytics) continues to operate regardless, on its own legal basis (see above) — you can restrict it using standard browser tools (blocking third-party cookies, privacy extensions) or by writing to us at our contact email.

7. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update this policy as functionality develops. We will inform you about all significant changes via email newsletter, description in the Chrome Web Store, or notifications inside the extension interface.
